10 Nuisance Constituted By Carry Over Students In the University/Polytechnic

In Nigerian institutions, carry-over candidates are stigmatized to be academically deficient and unserious. Therefore, many of them exhibit some disgraceful habits just to cover up for their failure

Note: This is not a generalization of all carry-over students

1. They tear the result

At the end of the semester, after seeing that they have woefully failed, they will go to their hostel and will return back to the result board at night just to tear the result

2. They start Aluta

All the olodos in the class will form a committee and will hold a meeting on how to cause aluta in the department. Some will go as far as setting the department ablaze. I belong to this category sha :D

3. They Mollest the lecturer that gave them C.O

The ones who are in ocultic group will lay ambush for the lecturer that failed them and will torture him. This barbaric act happens in schools like OOU and Ibadan poly

4. They will strike their names out

Some of them will come with black markers at night and will strike out their names  just to cover up their shame. This is very common with students that have been bragging that they will graduate with first class

5. They offer bribe to the Lecturer

Some will offer bribe to the lecturer so that the C.O can be reversed while some will parley with those marking the scripts so that their scripts can the swapped

6. They blame the Lecturer for Incompetence

They will start raining curses on the lecturer for deliberately giving them C.O claiming that they wrote their exams well. They will blame the school management to have employed such an incompetent lecturer.

7. They pay machinery for re-sit

If the course they failed is a very difficult one, they will look for somebody that will impersonate them and re-sit for the exam

8. They ask for refund of money

The ones who paid the class rep for runs but failed will battle with the course rep to refund their money. Failure to collect their money back will result into physical combat.

9. They stop coming for lectures

Some of them will even stop attending lectures just because cause they can't stand the shame in the class.

10. They will blame Buhari for their misfortunes.

Some of them will start walking blaming Buhari for their misfortunes.
